Katechizm Kosciola Katolickiego: Człowiek stworzony na obraz Boga, powołany, by Go poznawać i miłować, szukając Boga, odkrywa pewne "drogi" wiodące do Jego poznania.

Wszystko odpowie ci: Spójrz i zauważ, jakie to piękne. Piękno tego, co istnieje, jest jakby wyznaniem (confessio). Kto uczynił całe to piękno poddane zmianom, jeśli nie Piękny (Pulcher), nie podlegający żadnej zmianie?"

The month of the Holy Rosary is October and this entire month is dedicated to the Rosary. How beautiful is the family that recites the Rosary every evening! ~St. Pope John Paul II.

When the Holy Rosary is said well, it gives Jesus and Mary more glory and is more meritorious than any other prayer. – Saint Louis de Montfort

Catholic Women’s League of Canada Praying the Rosary for Peace. The following directive came to us from the National office.

The most pressing situation we face is one of peace, and Pope Francis has called for the entire world and the church to pray for this gift which was promised by Christ. I invite members of our parish to pray the rosary and to pray for peace throughout the world and Canada.

Due to increasing international developments of war and violence, it is crucial to begin this prayer to the rosary and for peace immediately. Jesus said if we had the faith of a tiny mustard seed we could command a mountain to move.

Canada has been divided into five sections so that the rosary can be said each day in at least one section: Monday : British Columbia and Yukon Tuesday: Alberta Mackenzie Wednesday : Saskatchewan and Manitoba Thursday: Ontario Friday: Quebec and Atlantic Canada The weekends are free for all to pray for peace in whatever form each wishes.

The Rosary Prayer around Poland is an annual event where Catholics pray for their nation.

It began after Catholic victory over the Ottomans in the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, which 'saved Europe from Islamisation,' according to the prayer's organisers.

All Saints Day, November 01

It is an opportunity for believers to remember all saints and martyrs, known and unknown, throughout Christian history. Remembering saints and martyrs and dedicating a specific day to them each year has been a Christian tradition since the 4th century AD, but it wasn't until 609AD that Pope Boniface IV decided to remember all martyrs. Originally 13th May was designated as the Feast of All Holy Martyrs. Later, in 837AD, Pope Gregory IV extended the festival to remember all the saints, changed its name to Feast of All Saints and changed the date to 1st November.

We celebrate today the solemnity of All Saints. This invites us to turn our gaze to the immense multitude of those who have already reached the blessed land, and points us on the path that will lead us to that destination.

All Souls' Day, November 02

All Souls' Day is marked on 2nd November, directly following All Saints' Day, and is an opportunity to commemorate the faithful departed. They remember and pray for the souls of people who are in Purgatory.

Whilst praying for the dead is an ancient Christian tradition, it was Odilo, Abbot of Cluny (France) who, in 998AD, designated a specific day for remembering and praying for those in the process of purification. This started as a local feast in his monasteries and gradually spread throughout the Catholic Church towards the end of the 10th century AD.For the souls in purgatory, waiting for eternal happiness and for meeting the Beloved is a source of suffering, because of the punishment due to sin which separates them from God. But there is also the certitude that once the time of purification is over, the souls will go to meet the One it desires.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church – Purgatory:

(#1031) The Church gives the name Purgatory to this final purification of the elect, which is entirely different from the punishment of the damned.[604] The Church formulated her doctrine of faith on Purgatory especially at the Councils of Florence and Trent. The tradition of the Church, by reference to certain texts of Scripture, speaks of a cleansing fire: [605] As for certain lesser faults, we must believe that, before the Final Judgment, there is a purifying fire. He who is truth says that whoever utters blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will be pardoned neither in this age nor in the age to come. From this sentence we understand that certain offenses can be forgiven in this age, but certain others in the age to come. [606]

(#1032) This teaching is also based on the practice of prayer for the dead, already mentioned in Sacred Scripture: "Therefore Judas Maccabeus] made atonement for the dead that they might be delivered from their sin."[607] From the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic sacrifice, so that, thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God.[608] The Church also commends almsgiving, indulgences, and works of penance undertaken on behalf of the dead: Let us help and commemorate them. If Job's sons were purified by their father's sacrifice, why would we doubt that our offerings for the dead bring them some consolation? Let us not hesitate to help those who have died and to offer our prayers for them

NOVEMBER INDULGENCES FOR ALL SOULS DAY FROM 1 Nov to 8 Nov. First the person who wants the plenary indulgence has to be free of mortal sin and has to complete what is asked of by the Church. In the case of the plenary indulgence given during the beginning of November (Nov 1-8), one must go and pray at a cemetery. Then the other normal requirements must be fulfilled too. Going to Holy Mass, Receiving Holy Communion, Going to confession, and an Our Father, a Hail Mary and Glory are for the pope’s intention within 8 days. With these done, one can receive a plenary indulgence for someone in purgatory (this plenary indulgence on November can only be applied to a soul in purgatory). Others can be applied to oneself or for a soul in purgatory.

Mass Intentions for August 207

An individual may ask a priest to offer a Mass for several reasons: for example, in thanksgiving, for the intentions of another person (such as on a birthday), or, as is most common, for the repose of the soul of someone who has died. One must never forget the infinite graces that flow from the Sacrifice of the Mass which benefit ones soul. Given this understanding, we can add some specifics. When a priest offers Holy Mass, he has three intentions: First, to offer the Mass reverently and validly in accord with the norms of the Church. Second, to offer the Mass in union with the whole Church and for the good of the whole Church. Third, to offer the Mass for a particular intention, such as the repose of the soul of someone who has died.

Therefore, the effects of the Mass bring certain benefits or fruits. The general fruits of the Mass are the effects upon the whole Church to the living faithful as well as the poor souls in purgatory. For this reason, in the Canon of the Mass (the Eucharistic Prayer), a special mention is made for both the living and the dead.

The special ministerial fruits of the Mass are applied to the particular intention of the Mass, i.e. "for whom the Mass is offered."
